Before that, the final person I talked to on Tuesday I had begged them to come. The woman was rude, said they would get there when they get there, that they were inundated with calls. On Wednesday I was told somebody would be here. They came, and the technician took one look and said my tankless had to be replaced. I said okay and asked how much it would be. He gave me a quote for $3,750. At that time I said to please go ahead. He said he could be there the next day. I had no water. I was desperate. In the meantime, I sent texts to a bunch of other plumbing companies. Another company got in touch with me, and I told them what was going on. They gave me options. The proposal Strand gave me had one sentence, replacement for $3,750. I called Strand and asked what it was for, which tankless, and how much the system was. The woman on the phone was extremely rude. She said it's a great price for the tankless, that they don't share that information because they are a flat-rate company. I compared it with what the other company told me they would put it in for. which was $2,200 (installed). I called the technician from Strand, and they were going to charge me an extra $1,500 more just in labor. I went with the other company and cancelled Strand. I understand they are trying to make some money, but what you did was lose one customer. I had them come in and actually do maintenance and cleaning on my tankless in May, which is why I called them in the first place. It was all about the money. They lost me as a customer. Not only will I never do business with Strand, I have told other people who cancelled their appointments with Strand.”
